Aug 29, 2012 · Having an install issue with the 64-bit version of Windows 8 Pro I downloaded from TechNet yesterday. Given that it has been released (at least on TechNet), I would presume there is a Win 8 forum I'm missing in the list of forums?

But in the retail version we could use a local account if we wished,same as on Windows 8. Unless they have changed it. Yes I read on the web on other sites that we do have to install Windows 8.1 if we are running Windows 8.
